Wine Tasting

Wine tasting in Argentina

Argentina is the world's 5th largest producer of wine, with the Mendoza area located in the foothills of the Andes being the country's most important wine growing region. Sheltered by the Andean mountains, with lots of sunshine, mild winters and its deep, rich soil Mendoza is the ideal region for the vineyards and their red wine grapes. Further north in Cafayate in the Salta region the speciality is the white wine grapes producing exquisite white wines.

The grape harvests are in March but visitors can visit and take tours of the Bodegas (wine cellars) throughout the year - tasting the excellent wines on offer. Wine is a huge part of Argentinean life and everywhere visitors stay will offer an excellent choice of wine.

Wine lovers will really enjoy their time in Argentina, and for the real connoisseurs a visit to a Bodega or two.. is a must.
