A 14 Night Adventure in Costa Rica

Starting your adventure in San Jose for 2 nights before you white water raft in and out of Pacuare Lodge. Visit Arenal Volcano where you have the opportunity to trek to Cerro Chato & La Fortuna Waterfall, Skytrek zip lines & do the Canyoning tour to name but a few. Onto Manuel Antonio for a little well earned rest but there is still the chance to visit the smallest National Park in Costa Rica. Then onto the Osa Peninsula taking a boat ride out to sea and along the coast, the only way to get there, to the wonderful Casa Corcavado the only lodge on the edge of the National Park where you can walk from the hotel grounds into the Park.
Day 1 - SAN JOSE
On arrival into San Jose International Airport you will be met by our ground agents and have a private transfer to either The Indigo Hotel or upgrade to the Xandari Plantation y Spa Hotel for 2 nights BB.
Day 2 - SAN JOSE
Private guided tour to Poas Volcano & La Paz Waterfall Gardens, with lunch included. First stop the Poas Volcano National considered the largest geyser in the world frequently displaying at irregular intervals. Then onto La Paz Waterfall Gardens where you can come close up to the beautiful natural wonders of Costa Rica from Jaguars and sloth bears to the hummingbirds and butterflies. Then taking the trail beside the five magnificent waterfalls interspersed with observation platforms along side the falls and the spectacular La Paz River.
Day 3 - PACUARE LODGE
Today you have an early departure from your hotel for a 3 day / 2 night package @ the wonderful Pacuare Lodge in a Jungle room. You will be on a full board basis & the package includes white water rafting in & out of the property. Whilst you are there you can enjoy further activities such as canopy tours, waterfall hikes cultural exchanges and nature trails. Then spend evenings with cocktails in the upstairs lounge and dine on gourmet delicacies by candlelight.
Day 5 - ARENAL VOLCANO
Private transfer to the Arenal Volcano area for 3 nights @ either The Manoa Hotel, Kioro Hotel or the Lost Iguana BB -
Arenal Volcano is the most spectacular sight in all of Costa Rica when it is active with several hot springs resorts where you can enjoy the pools of thermomineral waters. In & around this area there are lots of activities; horse riding, mountain biking, fishing and water sports at Arenal Lake, canopy tours, suspension bridges & close by is the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge.
You start in Arenal with a morning group 4 hour hike to Cerro Chato & the La Fortunta Waterfall. An afternoon on the Skytrek Zip Wire excursion seeing the rain forest and landscape from a different perspective. Then the next day you have the group Puretrek canyoning excursion, with a total of 5 rappels alongside or right in waterfalls lasting approximately 4 hours, it is a brilliant adventure.
Day 8 - MANUEL ANTONIO
Today you leave Arenal with your private transfer to travel down the Pacific Coast to the Manuel Antonio area for 3 nights @ either the El Parador Hotel or Arenas del Mar Reputed to have some of the best beaches in Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio has an ideal combination of beach and wildlife. The National park is one of the countries smallest, but is also one of its liveliest where the animals and wildlife are easily viewed. There are lots of activities that you can enjoy in this area, deep sea fishing, snorkelling, white water rafting, take a canopy tour, visit the national park and just relax on a beach or by your hotels pool.
Day 11 - OSA PENINSULA
Today you will have a private transfer down the coast to Sierpe to take a boat transfer to Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge for 3 nights FB. All tours are included consisting of a tour to Corcovado National Park, Canno Island, birdwatching and hiking on the trails. Parque Nacional Corcovado was established in 1970 and is one of the last truly wild places in Costa Rica. It is difficult to get to but it will captivate you with its isolation, beauty and abundance of wildlife.
Day 14 - SAN JOSE
Depart Casa Corcovado by boat, then a land transfer to Palmur Sur and finally a domestic flight up to San Jose. 1 night San Jose @ either the Indigo Hotel or the Xandari BB
Day 15
Private transfer back to the International Airport to catch your flight back to the UK
