Although being part of the Caribbean there is no other island quite like Cuba with so much of its history still part of every day life. So if you have the opportunity to spend more time in Cuba then this could be the ideal itinerary for you. Initially taking you through the unique landscape of the more agricultural areas, where you see the traditional methods still in use. Then travelling to the beautiful coastline and spending time on the beach. Finally exploring Trinidad and Havana with their wonderful architecture and history, you couldn’t ask for more variety.

DAY 1 - LAS TERRAZAS

On arrival into Havana Airport you will be met & have a private transfer to the Las Terrazas area for 3 nights @ the La Moka Hotel BB. This is the area that Cuba regards as its National Park area; you can walk nature trails close to the hotel, hire bikes, horse ride, go on bird watching tours with a local guide & relax by the pool.

DAY 4 – VINALES VALLEY

Private transfer further west to the Vinales Valley. 3 nights @ the Los Jazmines Hotel BB. This peaceful rural region of the Viñales valley is encircled by mountains and its landscape is interspersed with dramatic rocky outcrops. Traditional techniques are still in use for agricultural production, particularly tobacco which is processed into the finest cigars found in the world. This picturesque valley is popular for hiking, exploring caves or simply relaxing and taking in the surroundings.

DAY 7 - CAYO LEVISA

Transfer to the small ferry port @ Palma Rubia to take the boat across to the idyllic beach island of Cayo Levisa, for a 2 night stay BB. In Cuba you generally only have the option of the big resort beach hotel. This is one of the very few exceptions in Cuba. It is an idyllic island with just this one, quite basic hotel on it. There is no swimming pool as the beach & water is stunning.

DAY 9 - TRINIDAD CITY

You will take the morning ferry back to Palma Rubia & meet the Private transfer & continue to Trinidad City for 3 nights @ the 5* Grand Hotel BB. Trinidad, also known as the ‘Museum City’ of the Caribbean, is Cuba’s best-preserved colonial city. Wander the cobblestone streets, admire the churches and parks, marvel at the charming old houses, or enjoy a fine cup of local coffee, these are just some of the experiences you will find in this magical corner of Cuba.

DAY 12 - VARADERO

Private transfer to Varadero beach for 4 nights @ the 5* Iberostar Resort hotel- all inclusive. Varadero is the best know beach resort in Cuba and is set on a peninsula. The beach is one of the top 10 beaches of the world and hotels are nicely spaced out along the beach with their own gardens. As well as the individual water sports centre there are 2 large centres which offer a large amount of water sport activities. You can also book to swim the dolphins & have your photo taken with them.

DAY 16 - HAVANA

Private transfer to Havana Old Town for your final 3 nights in Cuba, staying at the 5* Parque Central. Havana offers a vibrant mix of cultures, history, and experiences. Its cobbled streets are alive with cafes, bars and the rhythmic sounds of the rumba. The city’s architecture is an eclectic mix of styles and the colonial buildings of ‘Old Havana’ have earned the city a UNESCO World Heritage Listing. Explore the museums and galleries of the old town, enjoy a cabaret show at the Tropicana, visit the colourful markets at Palacio de la Artesanía, sip a mojito at one of the atmospheric bars.

Transfer to Havana Airport to check-in for your Virgin flight back to the UK VIRGIN Flight Havana 1930 Gatwick 0940* * flight arrives the following day Total journey = 9 hours 10 mins
