The 46 cabin M/V Santa Cruz was built exclusively for Galapagos Islands cruising and was therefore built with a flat bottom. This means that although it is a large boat it can come in closer to the islands that the other large "cruise" ships. The Santa Cruz has gained worldwide recognition for its excellent standards, including superb service, expert crew, the most knowledgeable multilingual naturalist/guides and menus that feature the very best international cuisine and celebrated Ecuadorian dishes.
Its capacity is for 90 guests and there is a large choice of cabin types and price options. The top cabins are the 2 wonderful master suites at the back of the boat, each with their own outside balcony. The Expedition Team consists of a Chief naturalist and five naturalists. As well as the usual full 7 night cruise the Santa Cruz also offers flexibility to have a 3 or 4 night cruise options.

I really like the idea of having the 3 night cruise, which includes the outer islands, and then have the Finch Bay Hotel package, which takes in visit to the inner islands. I think this is a great combination of a cruise and land based hotel - whilst also getting to experience all the diversity.
