Whale Watching in Madagascar

Whale Watching in Madagascar

Between the months of July - September the majestic humpback whales of Antarctica migrate to the warmer waters off the east coast of Madagascar. The majority of the whales end up in the protected and shallow waters of Antongil Bay but many can be seen off the coast of St Marie and the mainland.

Several hotels on the island of St Marie offer whale watching excursions, it is a truly amazing experience.

Take an excursion out from one of the hotels in St Marie to see the humpback whales in their natural habitat. They practically 'show off' with displays of jumping and tail slapping!
