Yala Sri Lanka

Yala National Park

During your holiday we strongly recommend a visit to a national park in Sri Lanka. The park in Yala is the largest of all the parks in Sri Lanka and has a varied terrain ranging from open parkland to dense jungle. Waterholes, small lakes, lagoons and streams feed the large number of elephant, bear, wild boar, and deer. There is also a wide variety of birds in the park that are very easy to spot.

The park also boasts a large number of important ruins indicating that this was once a populated and developed area. The highlight of everyone's safari trip is if they are lucky enough to see a leopard. The leopards are used to the jeeps and the confident young males are often seen walking across the tracks. Our guides will ensure you don't miss a thing, so don't forget your camera!

The highlights for me were; not knowing what would cross your path on safari and whether you would be lucky enough to see a leopard!
