Peru - In February carnival celebrations are held almost every weekend in one town or another. Days of exuberant celebration, dances and fireworks.

Ecuador - The nesting and breeding season for many birds including the Pintail ducks and Galapagos Dove.

Madagascar - Although the rainy season, a great time to visit for botanists as many of the wild orchids are in flower - particularly in Andringitra.
